How building works
- You need a Hammer. Craft a Hammer by hand, equip it, then right-click to pick what to build.
- Most pieces need a station nearby. 244 need a Workbench in range, 57 need a Stonecutter, and a few need a Forge, Black Forge, Artisan Table, Galdr Table.
- New pieces unlock as you find materials. Pick up a material and every piece that uses it appears in the build menu.
- Watch the colours. Aim at a piece with the Hammer out and its colour shows how well it's held up: blue is on the ground, then green, yellow and orange, and red is about to fall. Stone and core wood hold up taller builds than plain wood.
- Taking a piece down gives it all back. Middle-click a piece you built to remove it and get every material back. Repairing with the Hammer is free.
