At the Workbench (level 2):
Upgrades

|---|---|---|
| 2 | 3 | 6 Lox Pelt, 4 Bone Fragments, 1 Root |
| 3 | 4 | 12 Lox Pelt, 8 Bone Fragments, 2 Root |
| 4 | 5 | 24 Lox Pelt, 16 Bone Fragments, 4 Root |
Past quality 4, the Forge of Potential can upgrade it further using a Black Metal Protection Idol. Idols are found in chests, and a failed attempt can destroy the item.
